Disruptive Design

Disruptive design, associated with Leyla Acaroglu's UnSchool of Disruptive Design, challenges designers to reframe sustainability problems at the systems level, such as designing out waste entirely rather than just building a better recycling bin.
"Designer Leyla Acaroglu, through The UnSchool of Disruptive Design, challenges designers to reframe sustainability problems. Instead of defining a problem as 'how to design a better recycling bin', her approach encourages defining it as 'how to design systems that eliminate the concept of waste from the outset', leading to innovations in material lifecycles and circular economies."
