This academy takes that seriously rather than treating it as your failure to lead. Carrying responsibility without the matching authority is one of the ordinary conditions of professional work, not a personal shortcoming, and it has a shape you can learn to read: where the decision actually sits, which parts of it are still open, and how far your reach really goes.

So the work here is done on something you are responsible for right now. You find the decisions that are still open, work out what each one sets in motion, and build the case for the ones worth taking.

This is where the sustainable strategies and methods that apply in your own field are taught, and where you work out which ones this piece of work needs, in the order you would actually meet them.

You leave with a written analysis of your own piece of work and the argument to take it upstairs.
