Ushahidi
Ushahidi is a citizen reporting and crisis-mapping platform, first built in Kenya, that let its founding team quickly test how people could submit and visualize reports before extensive coding began.
During the early development of the Ushahidi platform in Kenya (a system for citizen reporting and crisis mapping), the founding team likely used hand-drawn sketches and simple digital mock-ups (Mock-up/Outcome) to quickly visualize how users might submit reports via SMS or web and how that information could be aggregated and displayed on a map (Observation [118]), allowing for rapid ideation and feedback from potential users and partners before extensive coding.
