Design Issues is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal published by MIT Press since 1984, the first American academic journal devoted to design history, theory and criticism. It draws on art, architecture, philosophy and the social sciences to examine design as a cultural and intellectual practice.

Design Issues is a quarterly, peer-reviewed academic journal published by MIT Press, and hosted at Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. It publishes scholarly articles, review essays, book reviews and visual projects, and its back issues are indexed and archived through MIT Press Journals and JSTOR.
