El Diseño de la periferia: debates y experiencias, by the German designer and theorist Gui Bonsiepe, was published by Gustavo Gili in Barcelona in 1985 as part of the GG Diseño series, with an introduction by Darcy Ribeiro. Running to 271 pages, it collects Bonsiepe's debates and experiences on design as practised at the periphery of the industrialised world, drawing on his years working and teaching in Latin America. It is considered a foundational text in Latin American design theory, and Bonsiepe's writing from this period remains an important reference point across South America and Germany.
