This is the second installment of a multi-part historical study by David Pouvreau tracing the development of Ludwig von Bertalanffy's "general systemology" (Bertalanffy's broader project behind General System Theory) and its relationship to cybernetics. As its subtitle states, this part covers the contexts and later developments of the interpretive tradition ("systemological hermeneutics") that Bertalanffy's work set in motion. It was published in the International Journal of General Systems, a peer-reviewed journal, as part of Pouvreau's wider scholarship on the intellectual history of systems science.
