This book is the Spanish edition of Hans M. Wingler's documentary history of the Bauhaus school, gathering manifestos, letters, memoranda, sketches and images from its years in Weimar, Dessau and Berlin to document the school's teaching, people and politics.
It is widely regarded as the definitive and most comprehensive collection of documents and visual material on the Bauhaus, drawing on public manifestos, private letters, internal memoranda, minutes of board and faculty meetings, sketches, speeches, newspaper and magazine articles, official government documents and curricula. Its illustrations span architectural plans, furniture, ceramics, metalwork, textiles, typography and stage design, alongside portraits of Bauhaus masters such as Walter Gropius, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, László Moholy-Nagy, Josef Albers, Marcel Breuer and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
