Two-month production residencies in 2027 for artists working in digital, media, robotic and bio art, who apply as a duo, a collective or with a collaborator, at one of fifteen European host organisations. Applications close on 6 November 2026.
The European Media Art Platform, co-funded by the European Union's Creative Europe programme, offers two-month production residencies in 2027. Collaboration is central: applicants apply as a duo or collective, or propose a project with a partner of their choice or a collaborator local to the host. Applicants must be residents or taxpayers in an EU member state or in one of the eligible non-EU countries the page lists. Undergraduate and master's students are not eligible; PhD candidates and emerging artists of any age may apply.
The residency includes a grant of 4,000 euros for the applying artist and 2,000 euros for collaborating artists (6,000 euros for a duo), a project budget of 4,000 euros, accommodation, travel within EU ceilings, access to technical facilities, and the kick-off conference on 11 and 12 March 2027 in Gijón, Spain. Hosts include Ars Electronica in Linz, iMAL in Brussels, IMPAKT in Utrecht and LABoral in Gijón. Applications are made on the call's website after registering, until 6 November 2026, 2 pm CET.
