This Fitzroya Cupressoides in a forest at the Alerce Costero national park in Los Rios, Chile, is thought to be the most ancient living tree in the world by scientist Jonathan Barichivich. According to his research the tree would be 5,484 years old (still to be confirmed). What an incredible proof that autopoiesis is the only way to be sustainable.
