In the early '90s, I was living in Amsterdam and got to see a concert at the Bimhaus, a jazz club. The musician was a Brazilian pianist named Hermeto Pascoal, and he played incredibly. Halfway through the concert he stopped and stepped off the stage, walked to the bar with his glass of wine and asked for it to be refilled, went back on stage and kept playing. After a while his wine had run out, and a girl came up to refill his glass, and he held out his hand so they would not pour him any more. The guy had things very clear. Without wine life can be a drag; with too much, a hell. Everything in its right measure. That is today's moral, little grasshopper.
