A Handbook of Problems

A cross-school collection documenting how seven design programmes tackle local and global problems across industrial, interactive and visual-communication design. It shows the SDF's Procedures and Outcomes at work inside the discipline's institutional and communicational facets. The book documents a year of project work at Designskolen Kolding's institutes of industrial design, interactive media and visual communication, run in parallel with six other design schools worldwide under the INDEX: Design to Improve Life initiative. Running to more than 500 pages, it follows how groups of students across the participating schools tackled local and global problems through industrial, interactive and visual-communication design.
