An open call for architects, designers and students to design and build one of two public pavilions for the second Copenhagen Architecture Biennial in 2027, from recycled, regenerative and reusable materials. Proposals close on 10 February 2027.
The Copenhagen Architecture Biennial invites proposals for Element Pavilion, two public pavilions built in the heart of Copenhagen for its 2027 edition, with support from Dreyers Fond. Each pavilion must be built from recycled, regenerative and reusable materials, aiming at zero waste; reflect the theme "Elements"; act as a gathering point for the Biennial; be modular so it can be taken apart, moved and reused with other Nordic cultural institutions; and hold public programmes and information stands. Each winning proposal receives 60,000 DKK and is built with the engineering partner Buro Happold. The jury includes Søren Pihlmann, Paul Roberts and Margrethe Floryan, among others. Deadline: 10 February 2027, 23:59 CET. Requirements and eligibility are on the Biennial's own page. Source: Copenhagen Architecture Biennial, Instagram
