Superbloom, a nonprofit working at the intersection of digital design and human rights, is hiring a bilingual design researcher for a grant-funded community co-design project on AI transparency with community organisations across New York, running through March 2027. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.
The project will run eight or more bilingual workshops and co-design sessions with four to five community-based organisations, reaching around 150 participants between October 2026 and March 2027, to co-design a Civic Feedback Framework for AI Transparency: practical methods communities and organisations can use to gather input and turn it into recommendations about AI transparency. The researcher leads workshop design and curriculum development, survey design, partner onboarding and data collection, synthesises the learnings into the grant outputs and supports communication assets. Superbloom asks for experience in community or civic engagement projects, in designing and facilitating workshops, in curriculum development and in participatory or interview-based field research, working proficiency in Spanish and English, and being based in New York City or State during US Eastern hours; the work is mainly remote with in-person meetings and workshops. The position is 30 or more hours a week, benefits eligible, with a base annual salary range of USD 60,000 to 80,000 pro-rated for the engagement; it starts as soon as filled and runs through March 2027. Applications are made through the form on Superbloom's page and are considered on a rolling basis; the process may close early. Source: Superbloom
