Landscape Online

An open access journal of IALE-D, the German chapter of the International Association for Landscape Ecology, published online on a rolling basis. It publishes landscape ecology and landscape research with an inter- or transdisciplinary aim, including the links between society and nature, how people perceive and value landscapes, and landscape theory. It uses double-blind peer review; submitting is free, and each accepted article has a publication fee of 400 EUR.
Landscape Online focuses on studies dealing with research in landscape ecology and contributions on landscape research with inter- or transdisciplinary aspiration. The subject matter deals with any scientific, educational or applied aspect of processes, dynamics, indicators, controllers and visions related to landscapes. Furthermore, Landscape Online emphasizes the coupling of societal and natural systems, not only the involvement of human impact on landscape systems but also human perception of the landscape, its values and the evaluation of landscapes. Moreover, articles are appropriate that deal with landscape theory, system approaches and conceptual models of landscape, both their improvement and their discussion.
