An international journal on design thinking published twice a year by the University of Tehran, Kish International Campus. It publishes theoretical work, case studies and empirical research on design thinking and its use in fields such as product design, architecture, service design, interaction design and systems thinking. It is free to read, charges no article processing fees, uses double-blind peer review and publishes in English.
The Journal of Design Thinking is an international, peer-reviewed publication dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of design thinking as a transformative framework. Rooted in interdisciplinary collaboration, the journal seeks to explore how design methodologies, processes, and principles can address complex challenges, drive innovation, and shape more sustainable, equitable, and human-centered futures. The journal provides a platform for critical discourse on the social, cultural, economic, and technological dimensions of design thinking. It encourages contributions that bridge theory and practice, fostering dialogue between academics, practitioners, and policymakers across diverse fields such as product design, architecture, service design, interaction design, and systems thinking.
