The refereed journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, Australia and New Zealand, established in 1989 and published by Taylor & Francis three times a year, including themed issues. It publishes papers, essays and book reviews on architectural, urban and landscape history, with particular interest in Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and South-East Asia, as well as wider international questions. There is no charge to publish; making an article open access has a fee.
Fabrications is the refereed journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, Australia and New Zealand. Established in 1989, it is devoted to scholarly publication in the field of architectural history. It particularly welcomes papers on the architectural, urban and landscape history of Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and South-East Asian regions, while casting its net much further afield. The journal publishes refereed papers, academic essays and book reviews that are both concerned with these regions and papers which take a wider view of international questions or issues. Fabrications publishes three issues each year, including themed issues. Themes change from year to year, and have recently included ”Designing for First Nations Communities ,” ”Architectural Heritage in Conflict,” “The Architecture of the State and Statelessness,” and ”Post-war / Cold-war in the Regions”. Peer Review Statement All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous double-anonymized peer review, based on initial editor screening and refereeing by at least two anonymous reviewers. Editorials, Practice Reviews and Book Reviews have undergone editorial screening.
