EN BLANCO. Revista de Arquitectura

EN BLANCO. Revista de Arquitectura (EN BLANCO) is an international research journal whose main objective is the scientific dissemination of architecture designed and built with exposed concrete. Founded in 2008, it is an initiative of the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura of the Universitat Politècnica de València and the Cátedra Blanca Valencia. EN BLANCO deals with architecture in an interdisciplinary way, and it makes room for reflections on architecture (buildings and public spaces). However, it has a distinctive feature, clearly shown in its double structure: on the one hand, the formal and material research that each architectural project incorporates and, on the other, the research into more abstract, theoretical and generalisable aspects that accompany, surround and define a project and its critique. As a result, the journal is organised into two sections, OBRA and INVESTIGACIÓN, which expand knowledge through two different and complementary ways of researching that drive the advancement of knowledge in the field of architecture designed and/or built with exposed concrete, and that support studies on new materials, sustainability and the environment, all of them emerging topics in the scientific community.
