ArcHistoR
An open access journal of architectural history and restoration from the Laboratorio CROSS (Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria), published twice a year. It publishes original research on the theory, history and historiography of architecture and on the theoretical, critical and design aspects of restoration, from antiquity to the present, with particular interest in the Mediterranean. It charges no fees, uses double-blind peer review and accepts five languages, including English and Spanish.
The open access journal ArcHistoR hosts scholarly articles at an international level, based on original research and critical interpretations of the theory, history and historiography of architecture and on analysis of the theoretical, critical and design aspects of restoration, with no limits of place or time. Particular attention is given to the artistic and cultural contextualisation of each specialist study in relation to the broader questions concerning the history, understanding and restoration of architecture. ArcHistoR was born within the Laboratorio CROSS. Storia dell'Architettura e Restauro, originally at the Dipartimento Patrimonio Architettura Urbanistica (PAU) and now at the Dipartimento Architettura e Design (dAeD) of the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria. Its work addresses architecture, the built environment and the territory in the broadest interdisciplinary sense, from antiquity to the contemporary period, with particular interest in the Mediterranean area. ArcHistoR publishes articles in Italian, French, English, Spanish and German.
