Ambiances. Environnement sensible, architecture et espace urbain

Stemming from the Réseau International Ambiances, the journal Ambiances aims to promote work relating to the fields of the sensory environment, architecture and urban space. The aim is to put our ways of inhabiting and conceiving the contemporary world to the test of the senses. By placing the human sensorium at the heart of the inquiry into architectural and urban spaces, the aim is to shed new light on the ways the built environment is designed and made, to give full place to the experience of inhabitants and to the ordinary situations of urban life, and to take the measure of the ecological, social and aesthetic changes in cities.
