SDA's Special Interest Groups aim to create worldwide networks within the fields of design and sustainability research. These groups interact with their communities through various activities, such as establishing engagement platforms, hosting events, and producing publications. Each SIG is overseen by a convening group and maintains its own membership. SDA promotes collaboration among SIGs, acknowledging that modern design research incorporates diverse disciplines and viewpoints.
