Ezio Mancini Seminar

Maybe it's worth to stay up until late this Friday! The University of Tokyo announced a special lecture at the 18th Virtual Government Seminar by Professor Ezio Manzini.

The Power of Collaboration: How Social Innovation Solves Intractable Problems (and What It Teaches Planners and Policy Makers).

This lecture will address pressing global issues such as providing a dignified life to billions, caring for our planet, and supporting aging populations in fragmented societies. Professor Manzini will explore how social innovation can overcome seemingly intractable problems through collaborative solutions that integrate personal and community interests. The discussion will highlight the role of expert designers and policy makers in fostering sustainable, collaborative choices.

The event will be held on Friday, May 31st, from 1:00 PM - 3:45 PM (JST) and will also be streamed online. The complete rooster of the seminar also includes:

・Ezio Manzini, Professor, Politecnico di Milano (Keynote speech/Panelist)

・Risa Furukawa (Representative of Hiyori Nursery School/Presenter/Panelist)

・Fumiko Ichikawa (Co-Representative of Republic/Panelist)

・Dan Masaki (Odakyu WOOMS/Presenter/Panelist)

・Hideaki Shiroyama (Professor, Graduate School of Public Policy, The University of Tokyo/Moderator)
