NEB Academy: Fashion Shift and Skills Infrastructure Funding Calls
EIT Culture & Creativity has two NEB Academy calls open on its Calls and Funding page: Fashion Shift and Skills Infrastructure, both running 9 June to 31 August 2026 with applications due by the same date. Proposals are reviewed by independent external experts under Horizon Europe rules. Seen through the Symbiotic Design Framework, a call like this sets up Mutualism between funder and applicant: sector capacity and results for EIT Culture & Creativity, resources and legitimacy for whoever takes on what is, for an industry's skills base or production model, a Wicked Problem rather than a single well-defined brief. That kind of sector-wide shift is also where the framework's Sustainability motto lives: an obligation across a whole sector's relationships, not a tweak to one product.

EIC Accelerator: European Funding for Game-Changing Innovation
The European Innovation Council's Accelerator backs single startups, SMEs, and small mid-caps carrying a "game changing" innovation from Technology Readiness Level 6 toward market, blending a grant of under EUR 2.5 million with an equity investment of EUR 1 to 10 million under what the EIC calls a patient capital principle. Open to applicants from EU Member States and Horizon Europe-associated countries, against rolling cut-off dates through the year. Seen through the Symbiotic Design Framework, that grant-plus-equity structure is a working case of Mutualism: capital and market access for the innovator, mission-oriented return for the funder.
