Pasado del Diseño en Latinoamérica

Design in Latin America today has unique characteristics and has been shaped by its territory, its memory and its trades, among other factors. However, as in other aspects of our development, it has been influenced by externalities and currents coming from other latitudes, physical and disciplinary. With that in mind we would like to invite you to talk around:

• Disciplinary development • Pre-Columbian legacies and territory • The influence of dominant cultures • The relationship with art and other disciplines • Responsibilities for the effects of design • Anthropocene • Overconsumption • Social effects

The participants in this panel were:

Dr.Marco Ferruzca Director of the División de Ciencias y Artes para el Diseño Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana MEXICO

Dr. César Peña Director of the Design Studies Department Universidad de los Andes COLOMBIA

Teresa Montero Bellalta Curriculum Committee member and lecturer Universidad Finis Terrae CHILE

This event was organized and moderated by: Gonzalo Raineri Bernain Doctoral Candidate in Design Universidad Finis Terrae CHILE
