Recalling Valencia's Design Community During World Design Capital 2022

This story starts in Valencia during the time @wdcvalencia2022 was being held in that incredible Spanish city. At that time we had just moved there from Chile and we where welcomed by the design community there. The first one to open the doors was @xavi_calvo Calvo who was the CEO of the event and he was always inviting me to different events. Through him I learned about the @adcvcom Associació de Professionals del Disseny de la Comunitat Valenciana and her director María Navarro.

During one of the events I had the chance to meet with @davidkusuma.next president of the @worlddesignorg at the time. He asked me if I was member of a WDO and my answer was that I wish I was, but due to the scale of my project, I couldn't. He then told me that was not fair and during the next months we had some video calls to discuss about this idea. He finally decided to present the idea to WDO's senate and now small studios and other kind of design related endeavours can become a part of the World Design Organization.

As a result of a that small story is how I had the chance to meet with Andrea Springer Acting Managing Director at WDO, and be highlighted twice on the last issue of WDO's members newsletter.
